Please identify my latest purchase

Post by WillBeFine »

10cm Pleco
10cm Pleco
I recently bought a "L14 Scobinancistrus Sunshine Pleco". However looking at this website the photos don't match? Please could you confirm my purchase or I should I contact a respected dealer and ask for a replacement?

Thanks in advance. :-BD

I'd say it looks most like Peckoltia sp L147. Clearly not the species you ordered.

Did you pay an L14 price, over US $100, or an L148 price, under US $20? Big difference in retail prices between these two plecos.

I paid British Pound Sterling, GBP £27, ($45 USD ) plus £19 GBP ($32) USD delivery. I just phoned the UK dealer and he apologised for the mistake and will be sending out a L14 once the new stock arrives free of charge plus I get to keep the mystery guest. The dealers memory thought he might have sent an L387 but I think an L147 looks the closest match.

Fingers crossed I don't have a battle royal in my community tank. ^#(^

Thanks everyone for the prompt response.

It should be fine as long as you have enough caves for hiding places.

Haha. So he knew full well he was ripping you off, and just hoped you wouldn't notice. Nice.
