Is this fighting or courting?

Post by polkadot »

I recorded a video clip of my new male in his cave, with a female outside the cave, but i'm not sure if this is fighting for territory or courtship. Can anyone advise?

That is definitely fighting. Are you sure the outside fish is a male? Does the fish in the cave have eggs?

Am not sure if its a confirm male. I mix this new fellow into the tank a day ago, so far it has yet to "cave". There are no eggs in the cave.

That was my thought as well. It looks like the outside fish wants to pull out the fish inside.
