The water was not clear.

Great day collecting! :-BD

Is it possible to post the name for the location search term which can be found in Google maps?

There are often many rivers with similar names, and it can be hard to find the right one.

Type this in Google maps and it should show up, I fished right where the road curved to the right. Estrada do Tarumã, Manaus - Amazonas, Brasil

That last catfish is, I think, .
The right hand side is chopped off, so am going on what I can see.

Wow! I really need to go on a collecting trip, it must be awesome pulling out such a variation of fish from one small stream!

Yes I was amazed at all of the fish species caught here. In smaller creeks there are ussually than ten 6-7 species.

Hi,

Rio Taruma is close to Manaus, right ?
It's not B. splendens, the dorsal doesn't have enough rays, this is one of many species of the aeneus complex.
I would name the other one C. cf. trilineatus, for C. julii it's too far up the amazone but it's also no typical C. trilineatus, might be something new.
