Choked to death?

Post by polkadot »

Sad news to break out!

My L91 died instantly before my eyes! It made a few quick dash around the tank and lay there motionlessly a second later. Water parameters are in good condition, only thing is that it happen right after I fed them beefheart! I notice that the underside of its belly is a bit bloated and soft. Did the fellow choked itself to death??

I'm no expert, but beefheart isn't really good for any loricariidae. Beefheart is very high in protein and calories which may make it kinda hard to digest.

Sorry about your loss.
