I would say male if is the same fish in all photos.
And all are male if there are different fish

He looks pretty yellow on that pic.
take a look on L-401, could be the one.

My guess is Hypancistrus L-316.

Yes,L-66 gets my wote,and i would say it`s a male.

I have the same problem with my 66´s.
The ting that i´v notise is that death usually accure right they have been feed.
It seems like they sufficate.
Someone with the same experience?
