I personally agree with TKP. He is an extremely experienced pleco keeper, and know alot about plecos. You can just tell from how healthy each and everyone og his plecos are that he knows what he is doing. One cannot tell if a tank is overcrowded or not by looking at some pics, U have to be the keepe...

Oh, It doesn't really mean neon Indian Monk.... The first 2 chracters kind of means neon, but it is neon red, or bright red. The last two is a common name for pleco.

I am a member of the forum with the yellow coloration pleco... and TKP is the forum master there, it is a great forum.

I am keeping 2 young pairs of discus, 5 large bleeding heart tetras, 7-8 rummy nose and 10 Cardinal tetras with mine... I also keep about 15 corys and 2 doradid with my plecs. They live very well together and never attack eachother (only amongst themselves if ever)

A. hystrix should not cost too much... However not a cheap pleco either. They are worth much more than A. adonis cause they become very cool looking fish when hey grow large. They are meat eaters, but like all plecs, they would eat nearly all food given... Very hardy, but very aggressive indeed!

I have a friend who has a 48inch tank and he keeps African chiclids of all sort. He has 40 plecos!! The pH is 7.6-7.8 and they are all living very well. Just need to beware of super small plecos! 2 other friends also keep African fish, specially Frontosa with plecos!

Oh don't you worry!! Adonis grows VERY quickly!!! It is the fastest growing pleco in my tank of about 40 plecos!!! But you might not want them to grow too fast since they lose all their white spots gradually!!! Anyway.... Very nice plecos anyway

One is the normal L-114 and the other is this Pseudacanthicus cf. leopardus, or L-600. Planetcatfish has some pics, but not the best ones: http://w...

Oh don't worry, I can see your concerns  ... I will rephrase then:

The plecos defeat the other in battle when first introduced in tank. Afterwards they are generally peaceful. Just a bit of pushing around...

OK??

Well..... I wouldn't call them softies. They are aggressive compared to other pleco sescies but they are pretty feeble in the Pseudacanthicus family. Even Panaques beat mine up.... Mind you some panaques are crazy!!! SOme beat up my L-113!!

The 2 L-25s are they biggest out of them and they get beaten by all the above plecos!! The eyes are more like silver in colour... Not really white. Easy: G...

I have heard many say trhat if you feed Pseudos too much food, they will grow too fast anf fat. Growing too fast will result to loosing the patterns. If the pleco is feed as much as they should be so they grow slowly, or you can say normally, the patterns will remain. This applies to L-273, L-282, L...
