You can despair a bit more, mine updated itself to FF 8.0 this morning. I think I might be getting beta versions somehow but they seem to be coming thick and fast!

Re: Catfish Study Group - Annual Open Show & Auction

I bought the 3 Callichthys callichthys and 6 Megalechis picta for £4 per fish so I am pretty happy!

I would have loved the Dianema longibarbis, 5 of which went for £2 each but as always a lack of tank space stopped that!.

Re: lima shovelnose feeding?

I weaned mine onto dried food with Tetra Doromin, which has now changed its name to Tetra Cichlid XL, I'm not sure what it would be called in the States. It floats on the surface for a while and they swim just under the surface until their barbels come into contact with the stick and then they snatc...

Going back a couple of posts to the one about barcodes, i have recently found "Google goggles" which is part of the google app on the iphone and I think is on android under the full name. This lets you just take a picture instead of typing in a search term and it then tells you what it is ...

Re: platysilurus malarmo has knot in his filament. Untie or

I've just been doing some digging around to see if I could change the datasheet for the P. malarmo and fishbase does say 70cm. Looking further the only other place I could find any reference to length is this paper here http://www.saber.ula.ve/bitstream/123456789/27327/2/articulo3.pdf My spanish is ...

With regards to the fish at Trimar, there is mention of it and a small picture in this months issue of Practical Fishkeeping in the shop section. It looks pretty snouty.

Richards suggestion of the acanthomias is a good one, mine is great.

Re: Sorubim lima and BN

To answer the question about which dry food people are feeding, my Sorubim's take Doromin and suprisingly JMC catfish pellets which is good as its pretty good value. The are incredibly greedy, I keep them with 5 Hoplosternum littorale who are no shrinking violets and the Limas get the lions share. A...

I have 5 Hoplostermum Littorale, 1 male and 4 females, they are out all the time often just hanging in mid water and I think are a brilliant fish.
