Re: corydoras habrosus sick
I looked for Ruinemans and I can order from France. On the other hand, I find that they have very little choice in terms of catfish... Otherwise I have a wholesaler near me who offers acclimatized fish (so not just in transit), would this be a good solution? On the other hand, he told me that it wa...

Re: corydoras habrosus sick
Having treated with esha ndx, what other treatment do you recommend? The last victim died yesterday. I'll try to take a photo of the remaining 3 if you ever see something that I don't see. I noticed yesterday that there was one rubbing itself and I find their gills very red. Reason why I had treate...

Re: corydoras habrosus sick
Good morning I come to you because I am having a problem with only corydoras habrosus. I got the first ones a few months ago, picked up from a private person. I kept them for a few months and suddenly they started having the same symptoms one after the other: -difficulty swimming -weight loss So th...

Hi I bought a cory but the saleswoman no longer had the name. In order to find its congeners I would like to know its species. I'm thinking of Corydoras nanus, what do you think? https://i86.servimg.com/u/f86/20/39/07/77/img_2149.jpg https://i86.servimg.com/u/f86/20/39/07/77/img_2148.jpg https://i8...

Re: Corydoras breeding tank size
;)) Is it possible to breed an average size corydoras, around 5cm, in a 35x25x20cm aquarium? In the USA, that's just a little smaller than a 5 gallon aquarium. In my opinion (and it is just that - an opinion), I would say that if you're being thoughtful about the social welfare of your fish (that is...

Hi, I have never seen submerse plants in the biotopes there, in general most running waters in the area are not home to aquatic vegetation. Your tank looks spot on! I'd add some more wood, maybe a large piece, behind which they can hide, but that would be all. Iguanodectes are living in the same ar...

Nice,
Are you gonna buy them.

No, I have already used up my fish budget for the month and they aren't in the best shape. They are large and only $25ea which I think is a good price.
[/quote]
Yes 25 is for cw027 a good price.

Yes, indeed. I have a group of 7. Unfortunately, I do not have access to live feed at the moment. I do have rain water though and am trying to trigger them. I haven't seen any spawning interest though. There is a second spawn from the Swedish group with 17 eggs and higher fertility. I think live fe...

Re: Corydoras venezuela
That is the thing with holotype locations. They represent a single point of discovery only. In the case of C. concolor the ho!otype location is actually the very southern edge of their range in the wild. For a llanos tank it all depends if you want to recreate the wet season or dry season. Wet seas...

C. schultzei is from a completely different river system in Peru. C. venezuelanus is restricted to the Tuy and Valencia basins. C. sp. llanos is found south of the Andes in the northern llanos of Venezuela. As one travels further south in the llanos it disappears and is replaced by C. concolor. I a...

Re: Tank size corydoras weitzmani
I've put 10 C. sterbai in a tank that size. It can be done if you keep the water quality high. But it can also be a fragile balance and is at risk of water chemistry changes if you don't keep it stable. Cheers, Eric Thanks eric. I will do good maintenance. I don’t feed heavely and all my tanks have...

Hello,
Can i put 10x c.weitzmani in a 60cm tank? 60x30x25cm. The water level would be 25 cm to mimic the shallow creeks they live in.
Thank you

Re: Breeding corydoras
Do you have any plants in the tank? That might help tigger them. In my experience, aeneus really likes broad leaf plants, although aeneus would also lay some eggs on glass and on other random surfaces. If they are trying to do the T-position action, then they may already be laying eggs, but eating ...
