Re: Pseudohemiodon Apithanos egg fungus
Any conifer (pine, cedar, ect.) should not be used. Hardwoods are safe.

Re: Pseudohemiodon Apithanos egg fungus
When I have eggs that get kicked or cory eggs I treat them with Alder Cones. I found they work well on eggs that like to fungus up..... knowing how many to use takes a bit of guess work but has saves some nice fish for me. A half gallon jar, air stone, and about 7 to 12 Alder cones is all you need....

"Do you attend the GSAS meetings in Seattle? I spoke there about 16 months ago (Jan 2019). I brought up several species of plecos and corys at the time and they were auctioned off at the club meeting." No, I don't. It is something I have considered but haven't made it yet. "I don't ge...

Wow, that's awesome. I am always amazed when I walk into my fish room and see new fry. I have shellies in a 100g that are always pumping out fry but it is so cool seeing new life. I have 2 spawns of calico BN of about 100 combined. The only thing I can claim doing is adding caves months ago. If you ...

Enjoyed reading your thread. I am considering rain water collection as I have just recently had a metal roof installed.

Re: Rineloricaria eigenmanni spawn
With your eggs fungusing when removed from the cave, have you considered meth blue in a separate hatch tank? I have BN and leave the eggs with the male until hatched and egg yoke consumed.
