Re: T. Intermedia woodcats
REALLY hope that I dont jinks myself, but I think I have cracked the code on how to raise T.Intermedia fry at higher % rates. Probably got 95% hatch rate and now at 2 weeks have 95% survival! Key seems to be taking very fine powdered food and mixing it into the water along with microworms. In the p...

I think you are correct. I sat watching my C brevirostris and noted their spots do not form any obvious lines like your’s have.

Re: T. Intermedia woodcats
One of my intermedia is starting to develop bleached spots on its body. As soon as he stops swimming he starts to list to one side. The white spot near the caudal is slightly raised. I have offered them to a local hobbyist who has a soft water well. 4819DBB9-510E-4397-9568-9DB538DFE33C.jpeg 552211BC...

Re: Erethistes jerdoni
Nice! I am also surprised they survived the geos. Maybe the geos learned to avoid them due to the spines <shrugs> Could be but these little guys are only 25mm at most. Good luck with them. Cute little buggers. :) Cheers, Eric Thanks, I now have a species to which I can feed my excess micro worms.

Rescued these from an aquarium with angels, acaras and geophagus.
I was very surprised that they even came out while I was cleaning the aquarium and that they had survived. They will go into a 2.5g unheated tank full of Java moss and algae.

Re: T. Intermedia woodcats
Keeping this thread going... a late christmas present from my T.intermedia group! Tintermedia Eggs.jpg Hope that I can raise most of them this time. Have figured out to get high hatch rate, only ever get 20-30% to salable size! Would like to get that number up over 50% if possible. Wow, that super ...

Re: Tatia gyrina?
4 of my 5 wild gyrina have adapted really well to captivity, but one continues to only accept bloodworms (both frozen and dried)! I am really hoping that they decide to breed soon. They are in a 10G alone with a little sand on bottom, broken flow pot pieces, a pleco tube and a spawning mop. Im hopi...

Moved the T gyrina to the tank where I had held the T intermedia. I added a small powerhead as a water mover.

Sorry to hear that. What do you think went wrong? Jools I’m not entirely sure why the losses but a member on MFK pointed out these are a rheophillic species something I was not aware of prior. The system they were in is ~1000l distributed in eight 120l tanks and a 140l sump. All of the tanks are pl...

Thats crazy, that one that you show has no tail at all! So sorry to see this happen. Are you sure that the fins are not being attacked by the other fish? Hi! This is very interesting. I currently own this species of wood cat, however, I have never observed this with them. I do have 3 Asterophysus batrachus with fin erosion of similar appearance. Comparing water parameters, my pH is much lower and is between 6.5 to 6.8. My nitrates are <10ppm. I keep...

Re: Ninja Woodcats
I have just lost 5 of the 9. Their fins are all gone. 3 that are still alive have really tattered fins so I have moved one of them to a different tank.2A503B7C-D49C-4C41-9D35-A80F3FCBD673.jpeg That's what happened to some of mine. One day all of a sudden they had lost their fins and had only spines...
