Is this an L471?
Just trying to get a confirmed ID on this little fellow (as far as I know he is a few years old and is under 3" in length - he has not grown since I got him but his coloring has improved greatly from the gray he was) now that he is actively coming out without running when I bring out a phone to snap ...

Re: Peckoltia or not?
That looks like her stress coloration, and is the correct adult six (6" max). Just looks like they might not be easy of a find as P. brevis.

Peckoltia or not?
Recently picked up this big girl (she is almost 6 inches in length including her caudal, which is not a full measure of just body length lol), she is roughly 3 years old and currently hiding very well so I have yet to get a better shot of her (dorsal up, etc).

Re: L052 or L168?
No catch location, they were simply listed as butterfly plecos.
What your saying is they can breed anyway despite not showing similar coloration and pattern displays? (The larger two show dark coloring on darker substrate, the smaller in the one pictured with it showing visible pattern under the ...

L052 or L168?
I have three of these guys and I am trying to figure out what they are, the third (not pictured) seems to be male based on the extended growths of odontodes on the pectoral fins. The smallest does not show coloration that the larger two do, the smallest is just over 2.5" it also doesn't seem to vary ...

Re: Id This Pleco
I'm going to have to pull and compare the other two now, this one I got for 16, the others for 17 (I was hoping they'd be l270 for later breeding - but with three i have a good chance for them breeding as long all three are the same species).

Id This Pleco
This is one of three plecos i've gotten from a LFS, they were listed as chocolate zebra plecos. These are not from a breeder but a supplier, which has been known to switch up fish (like albino neon tetras instead of cardinal tetras or sending in h. strictus/bellotii instead of rummynose).

Re: Corydoras
Does the dorsal have a black spot or is it clear? It may be a trick of the photo. My first thought was Corydoras gomezi .
Jools
It has a slight black marking further down in the dorsal, that also doesn't connect to the main dorsal spine or extend to the top of the dorsal rays like the pictured ...

Needing an id on the non-trilineatus cory. The trilineatus is a female being used to compare the two to show the differences in hopes for an id.
The unknown also has a slight green shine to the gill plates and armor near the head.

I am trying to make sure of these guys id. I have four of them, two with pretty much straight patterning and two with more intricate patterning. They are all supposed to be the same species.

Id Juvenile Corydoras
This little one is around 3/4" not including his tail, has 7 soft dorsal rays, his pattern is more extensive than pictured as he was stressed out after a long travel time. He was in with pygmy cories (which were barely 1/2" including the tail).

Re: Ancistrus Id

Re: Ancistrus Id
They don't just have white tips to the caudal, both display a fully white stripe on the edge of the tail which they have maintained from when I received them in the mail to now.
Have you see any Rio Paraguay that display a full white stripe even when they are sexable? And I cannot say they are Rio ...
