Pooks, here where i live the temperatures can hit the low 30s(celsius). so far i've had no problems keeping the skunk and gosseis at the temperatures u are talking about. i'd go with the skunks. but the easiest and best choice would naturally be C. aeneus :P

C. ambiacus is variable in patterning. in the fishes i've seen for sale, at least 3 out of 4 of them are young C. ambiacus. the rest are C. lamberti. C. agassizii have smaller and lighter spots as compared to the true ambiacus. apart from the dorsal blotch, the only other difference between ambiacus...

regarding corydoras orcesi

my question is, is C. orcesi a valid species or still considered as a synonym of C. pastazensis? according to fishbase, C. pastazensis is the valid name for this species. but i see no similarity between the former subspecies C. p. pastazensis and C. p. orcesi.

is this a C. sychri?

i got this cory in a bag of atropersonatus that my friend managed to purchase for me from a wholesaler. the guy at the farm said it was a special one and managed to catch it and put it into the bag just before he packed it. now i'm wondering as to whether its a C. sychri or is it just another C. atr...

SynoPetri, i viewed the pic of the lamberti and it doesn't correspond to the pattern on this fish. a friend of mine has a lamberti at home and i must say, it looks more like C. agassizii rather than this fish. Coryman, anyone? i need an ID for this fish. it's getting livelier everyday. digging alot ...

FatCat, thanks for the reply but i think it's not C. lamberti. my fish lacks the dorsal spot and the spotting on the body is variable and scattered, not like C. lamberti, which has a regular spot pattern. One of the Japanese websites on corys lists this fish as a cross between C. osteocarus and C. 0...

need an ID for this cory

okay, got this unknown cory recently. looked through some websites and books but found no conclusive ID as to what it is, hope i can get some help as to ID-ing it. my initial guess was C. multimaculatus but i was proven wrong. the smudgy patterns on the rear end of the body really threw me off. any ...

:?: hello everyone, i recently found this little guy in a tank swimming with some pygmaeus. the shop lady told me she doesn't know what it is but it came with the pygmaeus. now i'm wondering what species is this? i know it is one of the elegans-group corys but my initial guess would be C. bilineatus...

hello everyone, i saw this odd cory for sale in a shop recently and i'm stumped as to what they are. they have the dusky grey to slightly orange colouration like that of C. concolor but they have a faint ash-grey vertical eye stripe and faint brownish stripes on the tail. i didn't manage to get a ph...
