make sure theirs flow going over/across the front of the caves, my plecos spawned in a 1/2 pvc pipe. i would also recommend 25-50% cool water changes daily. you could also raise the temp to 79-81. i would also recommend feeding them adult brine shrimp, blood worms and the small pleco fluval bug bites

the fry should find there way to food but you could try clipping a piece of cucumber or squash to rim of the tank. unless your over run with snails you should be ok... you could also just over feed like i do haha

i don't think maracyn kills fish, (as long as you don't OD) but it can kill bacteria so test water frequently. buuut im just some crazy catfish man from the internet so this is just my advise.

were the spawning's back to back? if so the male could have been starved. they don't eat while they mate or while there on eggs so they can go for 3 weeks without eating. if they do this more than once without 2-3 weeks of recovery they can die.

sounds like you got a bad piece of lettuce. this has never happened to me but, i have heard of it happening to people. the best thing you could do is buy organic lettuce because then theirs a much lower chance of there being anything bad on it.
