Hi we have had L200 cats in at 6inch but I beleive they can grow to 8-9. Prices in uk are always higher and 3-4 inch specimens can go for anything from £25-£35 around $37-$52. The L128 it very similar but has blue spots and is a little dearer.

Try an L82 opal dot they are nice cats and we keep them in Malawi setups with no problems.

Charly, I would have a chat with the people at profi aquarium in czech rep. I know they sell synos which have been hormone bred, they might be willing to share some information with you . Let us all know the outcome.

We have kept these cats in with discus at extreme temps with no problems. As you say the extra aeration helps, but I would normally keep at 75 f. We have had had these fish in the past with almost peach coloured spots is yours the same.

Id prefer the true rtc to the false one. When we have smaller ones they have been fine even in tanks with peaceful fish, unlike the wyckii and numerus which can only be described as pure evil. I have a wyckii called lucifer and a colleague as a numerus which is now growing well. True character fish.

Hi all, can you check oxygen or co2 levels in the tank, the co2 can affect ph. If the tank as recently been set up ammonia levels can suddenly go high.

Oops, sorry misread as argulus in first place ignore reccomendation. As anybody had bad experiences bathing catfish in potassium permanganate. We normally use this on koi in same circumstances.

Hi RUSTY, I am using xp pro on a dell lap top. The computer freezes and restarts while viewing random pages on the cat site. It does not happen at any other time. I upgraded all drivers yesterday to see if this cures problem. I will let you know if further problems occur.

We have sold L264 cats around 6inches in size but they are usually smaller. Bigger specimens may actually be Pseudoacanthicus Spinossus. They are easy to mistake at a glance. A lovely cat all the same

A lfs had a S Acanthamias in 2yrs back which had come out of a trop pond. Said fish was 29 inch in length approx 80cm and was a real beauty which was unusual as Syno cats tend to lose their colour as they mature.

Katt what have you done to these cats to get ich in the first place? There body armour usually prevents the parasites boring in. Do you do any maintanance on your tank ie substrate cleaning,water changes etc? Are they kept with a sand substrate?

We had some talking cats in december I will let you know if we get any in the near future. We also kept them with the spotted dora ( I only call angel cats S angelicus ) and some raphael cats no obvious fighting but the tank nearly bubbles at feeding time.

They spend most of their time spent in the middle of the tank. There is no decor otherwise in the tank and they dont bother with the filter uplift. I will move them over the weekend to a larger tank with suitable caving, but I bet they spend most of the daytime hidden. They get on very well together...
