Hi all, we have a shoal of M Batesi in a sale tank, due to that tank being low down they have never sold and we have therefore had them for some time . During this period of 12month or so they have only grown from 2cm to 5cm, not much really considering a pet S ornatapinnis as grown from 4cm to 12cm...

I dont think the fish will live, but carry on treating anyway. Increase temp to 86f and increase aeration. If the ich clears completely the fish as a chance. The fish may have internal problem and that as stressed him enough to then catch the whitespot problem. I don't think it is wise to purchase a...

Most of the smaller Juwel tanks have best in class filtration, much better than many of the off the shelf internals, but you will find they are better suited circulation wise to planted tank systems. Anybody wishing to keep these tanks for plecos will need to uprate pumps or use externals as seconda...

Has the fish been recently purchased or have you owned him some time? Unfortunately from your posting I would say his prognosis is not good. I would reccomend putting fish to sleep. Can you please advise on what filtration and maintainance you undertake so we can help you prevent this occuring again.

Ivan spot on. These cats grow really quickly I sold 1, 6mths back and it is now 20inch. The customer keeps in a 100gal tank which it has outgrown. So he needs a bigger tank (he was warned) so my advice would be dont buy unless you can put him in a pond or a very lge aquarium. Most of the zoos in our...

Hi again, We are feeding our mainstream fish this KB flake at the moment, I personally don't think any of the flakes vary much and must admit this one does seem to be better than some of the others. I prefer to use Tetra Prima ground up for smaller fish, and we tend to mix with several frozen foods ...

Some cats can have nasty skin reactions to salt in too high a cocentration. So I would only use in rare xceptions were the salt will aid healing or help precribed medication. As a retailer we keep salt in a lot of our tanks in very small doses and the cats we keep in these tanks seem quite happy. If...

Make sure the fish you are buying have come from a ph as high as this in the first place. New fish acquired will otherwise die very quickly. From the ph you are trying to obtain I presume you are possibly looking to keep rift fish. In tanks were we set up biotypes like this we use coral sand to help...

As a retailer we regulary bring in many forms of Nuggets and have noticed that the ones offered cheaply tend to die. So we tend to pay a little extra from other wholesalers who like ourselves quarantine these fish for a short time. This does'nt erradicate 100% of problems but it certainly helps. By ...

Hi there. Go for both, they all look great in shoals. I beleive the Rabauti to grow the larger of the 2 mentioned, and both are easy to keep.
