Many of these stories usually pop up from rural villages so maybe the stories are either exaggerated or false. Like many of those piranha stories from the Amazon.

I doubt there is any useful info on attacks on people , none have been proven. Also aggression-wise , Wallago leeri seems more aggresive and bold. My attu's bite occasionally when disturbed but the leeri's will bite anything that moves in the tank(including my fingers). From papers i've read on Wall...

Hi guys , just got a question about Silurus biwaensis , it's not in the cat-e-log so it it a synonym for another sp.? Fishbase states they are endemic to lake Biwa in japan and there's a mounted specimen of 270cm probably TL. Just want to know abit more about it.

Very nice fishes , I used to keep a 8'' one some time back. I'm in singapore and strange enough I haven't seen this fish for a long time even though the countries they are from are pretty near. Which is the most commonly imported species?

Garienpinus are popular food here , haha just joking , but iv'e seen many large garienpinus in ponds with other fish and i dont notice much aggression.

Usually B.flavicans = p.lutkeni=zungaro zungaro(valid name) seen them labeled as all three names before so z.zungaro is most likely. have a couple at my lfs here now but size put me off.
