Re: What to feed synodontis polli white babyes ?
I've never raised polli white. However, I have raised grandiops & lucipinnis. By the time both of those are 1 cm long, however, I've never had any issue raising them to adulthood. When they are smaller I feed the lucippinis microworms & then graduate them to crushed Hikari carnivore tabs.

Beautiful tank man. I read your build thread, it's a great read. Your tank makes my 350 look small . I love how you filled it with smaller fish, too.

I was just reading through some older threads and came across this beautiful Auchenoglanis. I'm curious as to it's size now, over a year later. Any updates?

Re: Synodontis petricola?
Silurus knows his fish, that's for sure. He writes for Practical Fishkeeping magazine and I imagine he's forgotten more about catfish than a lot of us know. One thing that tells you it's not a Synodontis multipunctatus is the leading edge of the dorsal and pectoral fins. Your fish have a white leadi...

Thanks for all the feedback and thanks for pointing me in the right direction. My OCD won't let me buy the paperback versions with no supplements, even though they're cheaper.

David Sands' Catfishes of the World Question
I haven't been able to find much info on these books online and I'm looking to buy a set but had a question. What's the difference between the paperback versions I'm seeing versus the looseleaf versions?

Here's an older thread that answers a lot of questions about breeding multis/grandiops. It links to another thread that has some good info as well.

Synodontis camelopardis possible wrong cate-log photo
The 1st picture of camelopardis in the Cat-eLog doesn't seem to be the same species of fish as the rest. It also doesn't resemble camelopardis in Seegers' Catfishes of Africa book. Is there that much variation in this species or might this be a different syno? http://www.planetcatfish.com/common/ima...

WTB Synodontis Granulosus
I'm interested in purchasing 3 to 5 granulosus. I know it's a long shot. I haven't seen them on any lists since 2011. I figure there might be someone who is looking to sell some out of their collection.
Thanks
Thanks

Synodontis multipunctata/grandiops love to eat snails. Once they get big enough, they'll make snacks of your snails.

Re: Dwarf Synodontis Microsynodontis batesii
Are there similar looking fish that it could be? Why are they so expensive? I agree with Birger, young grandiops or multipunctatus look like a little like granulosa. Granulosa are so expensive because most of the available fish are wild caught. Only Neil Hardy has been confirmed to have bred them i...

Re: Dwarf Synodontis Microsynodontis batesii
Synodontis granulosa go for 200+$. I know what you mean when you say you've been looking at a lot of pics of synos, I've been there. If you find 15$ granulosa, be wary, but if they're genuine, buy all you can house.

They have been bred in Florida. Did you take any pics? Pics go a long ways to aid in identification. The cost does sound a little low.
