Re: Thrid spawn from L399 :)
Congrats on the spawn. If your 399s are anything like my 400s, they will continue for a while. My 400s have been spawning for about 5 years now. Again, congrats.

Re: are these L260 fry?
Keep an eye on the male's caves. If you see eggs, move the cave and all to a fry saver till the eggs (fry) come out of the cave. Then put dad back in the tank and grow out the fry. I do this religiously with my L400s and red BNs. Makes it a lot easier than chasing fry around your tank. Good luck.

L400 Fry for Sale
I have some L400 fry, currently about 1 1/2" or larger. These are raised in Mass. tap water, beautiful fish. These are the larger, true L400s, where the males get to about 5" and the females are a bit smaller. I cannot sex them at this size, sorry. They are $20 each, and I do ship. I ship ...

I HAVE an overabundance of L262 adult males. I am looking for female L262, but would entertain other trades for plecos. Please message me if you are interested. I will ship. Thanx.

Re: L397 or L306
AHHHH, this has been explained several times before! L397 are not "banned from import to the states", they are banned from export from Brazil. The two statements are not the same thing ... But the results are the same - they are next to impossible to obtain in the states. Thanx for the cla...

Re: L397 or L306
397s are banned from import to the states, so they will be next to impossible to find. I have been looking for 397s for 3 or 4 years with no luck. Good luck.

Re: New To Breeding Plecos
BNs are about the easiest pleco to breed, and a good place to start. All you will need is clean water, food, and a cave or hiding place for each adult male. I breed 5 or 6 different species of plecos, and my tanks are split 50/50 with bare bottom and those with substrata. Your preference. There are ...

Re: Looking for L262 (s)
Thanx Barbie. No, I will not be at the convention (other commitments). Are you able to sex them at that age ? I really don't need any more males, and would prefer not to purchase them unless absolutely necessary. If not sexable, I will continue my search, and thanx again.

You can buy smaller acrylic fry savers. I also have one that is 6" long and would work in a 10 gal. Got mine on AB. Good luck.

Re: Help
I have an acrylic fry saver (actually, I have 3) that is about 12" long. When I see eggs in the cave with dad, I usually move cave, dad and eggs into the fry saver. Makes it easier than chasing fry around the tank. Good luck.

Re: Setting up a Zebra (L046) tank
Tank mates are tough because there are none in the wild. That said, people have kept them with sterbai corys (myself included), and other community "dither" fish. Personally, I would not take the chance and I would keep them by themselves. Good luck.
