Do you know about using Ctrl + and Ctrl - to change font sizes? It works for Firefox, and I think IE 7 as well although I'm not sure about that.

I don't think it's a pure-bred ocellifer. It doesn't have the barring on the tail. It might be an ocellifer hybrid, though.

Common names don't mean very much. You could call any silvery catfish an 'aluminium catfish' and not be wrong. What matters is the scientific name.
EDIT: Our posts got crossed, but yes, that looks like Hexanematichthys seemanni.

The most suitable catfish species would be:

Anagram for Planet Catfish
I was playing around with an anagram program and discovered that Planet Catfish has the anagram 'fantastic help.'
Jools, I thought you might like to use this in the help section or elsewhere on the site. Like an animation showing the letters re-arranging themselves, or something like that.

What about catfish that are extremely greedy feeders. For example, how long would it take to raise a to maturity if you gave it as much food as it wanted?

Have you tried Waterlife Myxazin? It's very good at treating bacterial infections, and doesn't harm the filter bacteria. The last time I used it was to clear up a nasty ulcer on a friend's kid's goldfish.

No antibiotics can be bought legally over the counter here because of the potential for misuse. Kanamycin is used a lot in scientific research so if you know someone who works in a biosciences or medical facility they might be able to give you some.

You should add bleach to your dehumidifier reservoir as a a precaution against Legionnaire's disease. In which case you definitely shouldn't then add the water to your fish tank.

Re: gram negative bacterial infection
Those are both antibiotics. You should be able to get one or the other of them (legally) from a vet if you explain what it's for.
You will need to treat the fish in quarantine because antibiotics are rough on filter bacteria.

Re: Oldest Synodontis in Glossop/UK/World?
Probably in a tank maintained like this you would get some denitrification, as you would in an unfiltered pond out of doors, so that an equilibrium is established. In other words, you have well and truly 'cycled' the tank. Setting aside any criticism, it would be very interesting and also useful inf...

Re: Heater burns on Synodontis euptera
I have a feeling that fish being underwater creatures, generally do not need to protect themselves against heat That could well be true. Heater burns never seem to be serious, and I suspect when the fish does start to feel pain it gets itself out of contact with the heater. It may not learn from it...

If you're a bioterrorist the 1918 Spanish flu virus is the one to go for. It has been recovered intact, and presumably still infective, from bodies of flu victims buried in permafrost.

A white powdery coating sounds like either whitespot (ich) or velvet (oodinium). If it's whitespot it will look like salt or sugar grains. I haven't seen velvet myself, but I understand it looks finer and more powdery. I don't think Melafix would help if it's either of those, but there are specific ...

I don't have the link but if you google the words I'm sure you'll be
