Re: first spawn of L010a, some help please!
yes i agree, there still is a lot to learn about the L010a. this friend of mine now has 23 juveniles, in a range from 1 cm at birth up till 2,5 cm (1 inch). interestingly, she does not use a heater, so the temp is variable, between 19 and 22 degrees celsius, rather strange isn't it? she has 5 specim...

thanks for the reply apistomaster. unfortunately you're right, i picked up the pipe today so i could take a look, but there are no eggs :( the male is just cleaning the inside of the pipe and removing snails and sand from it. what a shame. the only thing a do not understand, is why the male doesn't ...

first spawn of L010a, some help please!
hi there! i have 3 L010a, one male and two females. i've been feeding them blood worms mostly, and also spirulina flakes, they prefer the bloodworms though. 5 days ago i put some PVC tubes in the tank, and already the male is in one of them for three days now, not even leaving the tube for dinner :l...

Re: Is this one L147???
you're absolutely right Jools! the odontodes on the pectoral fins and the back half of the body are very panaque-like indeed the 'spotted pattern' on the head seems more like a broken striped pattern, so this also points to panaque. the first pictures made me think of peckoltia, because of this 'spo...

Re: Is this one L147???
thanks for the input.
as i said earlier on, this fish is not mine. it swims in Eindhoven in a tank of a friend of mine.

Re: Is this one L147???
thanks for the quick reply Jools!
i'm a bit confused now, because of the dotted pattern this fish shows. i always thought that the panaque maccus had more of a striped pattern on the head? this fish clearly has small dots on the head...
are you sure?

the first one, a quick guess, maybe it's corydoras schwartzii.
the second one is clearly corydoras trilineatus.

i am keeping my 7 jerdoni's in a 80 litre tank, with a pair apistogramma borellii opal and 10 youngsters and some boraras maculatus. the apisto's never harass the jerdoni's, they don't even notice them! i feed the jerdoni's with artemia eggs and small bloodworms. the biggest one is now over 3,5 cm (...

yes that helps, i have this thermometer too. that means the temp is around 26 or 27 degrees celsius. i don't think the cause of dead is related to this temperature. maybe it has to do with digestion system? did the cory have a very filled belly? did you noticed parasites around the anal area? did yo...
