L-14 losing and regrowing it's teeth
Ive noticed that my large 10"+ l-14's lose their teeth and grow them back I'd say monthly. I do water changes twice a week and I always find their teeth on the bottom.
I think it's pretty interesting. Thought I'd share.

Presumably all loricariids regularly shed their teeth and regrow them in batteries similar to sharks. Shed loricariid teeth have been surprisingly elusive given this adaptation. So I'm not surprised that they do shed and regrow their teeth, I'm surprised you found their teeth!

I used to find teeth from my 40cm quite often. I didn't realise what they were at first, they were like little spoons about 3-5mm long.

Thanks for the responses.
I was very surprised as well. At first I thought they were small jaw bones but I have no small fish. I had to take the scobi out to compare the teeth I found to the ones in their mouths and it was a perfect match.

Re: L-14 losing and regrowing it's teeth
When i saw my 50+cm Acanthicus toothless for the first time i was shocked!I thought that something was wrong with the water chemistry of the tank (even thought my Geophagus Winemilleri where spawning at the same time in that tank).
I have witness him/her loosing two more time almost the 100% of the teeth but the new ones usually grow out within a week....(at least in my case)
