Down Basics
Overview The first spawn was on Wednesday 10th of March 2021. The breeding group consisted of 2 males and 1 female. The smallest male was at least 60mm SL and the smallest female was at least 55mm SL. The individuals were obtained from Imports.

Down Breeding
Behaviour Just prior to the initial spawn, the smallest of three males was killed. The dominant male trapped the female in a small d-shaped ceramic cave. despite being given a large selection of caves shapes and sizes, subsequent spawns were also in small d-shaped ceramic caves. Generally small batches of up to 10 eggs, 15 on one occasion. Young are slow growing.
Eggs There were 10 yellow eggs laid which were 4.0mm in diameter.
