Current Gentle
Water Created a filter baffle from filter foam to minimize current back into the tank. Also supplement daily with a tiny piece of an algae wafer as the tank currently has very little natural algae for the oto's to eat.
Furniture Tiki Bar, glass thermometer, asst. Anubias plants, handfuls of small java fern clumps, a few large smooth quartz rocks, a1.5" glass crystal ball. Home to Jerome, our Halfmoon Betta Buddy & a soon to be larger shoal of Otocinclus vittatus.
Filtration Standard HOB filter which came with the kit (From Petco "Bookshelf Aquarium Kit"). Removed original carbon double-sided filter & replaced with blue filter foam, filter floss & a couple of bio balls.
Lighting Flourescent hood (came as part of the kit) -- works well for the plants needs

Furniture Finally, a big tank ^_^ ! 90% sand with a 10% white gravel section. Plenty of plants, driftwood, and slate chunks. Tetras: (2) Buenos Aires, (3) Blue line. Small shoal (6) Odessa Barbs. Added a small shoal of Botia Striata (4) due to Oregon Pond Snail population explosion & can happily report seemlingly snail-free after 1-week :)
