Overview | The first spawn was on Tuesday 1st of August 2023. The breeding group consisted of 0 males and 0 females. Additionally, there were 24 unknown individuals present. The smallest male was at least 60mm SL and the smallest female was at least 60mm SL. The youngest adult was approximately 50 months old. The individuals were obtained from Pier - Wild. |

Furniture | Fine sand, one large arched piece of bogwood, and several river cobbles of various sizes. |
Filtration | HMF with airlifters, plus large powerhead with air stone below it. |
Lighting | Low power basic LED strip. |
Heating | None - the room is heated if needed, usually just by a dehumidifier and the heat from the air pump. |
Breeding |
Behaviour | None noticed, fish are quite secretive except during feeding, spend a lot of time wedged between decor or buried in the sand.
First noticed one which was much shorter, skinnier, and lighter coloured than the others a few months ago, but only just got a reasonable picture of it! |
Segregation | Didn't notice the spawn so left in a tank with 24 adults, Barilius ardens, and Garra sp. Red Tail, a few eggs must have found good hiding places! |
